About Aphora Health:

Aphora Health is a rapidly growing healthcare services and software company based in Morrisville, NC. We serve self-insured employers and individuals across the U.S., transforming pharmacy benefits by slashing prescription costs through a blend of pharmacy sourcing and AI-driven analytics. Our platform delivers transparent pricing, seamless integration, and high-touch care navigation to ensure better access, significant savings, and uninterrupted care across specialty, brand, and generic medications. Our mission is to make prescription medications more affordable, accessible, and easier to navigate, without compromising quality or support.

What We Are Looking For:

At Aphora Health, we believe the best sales relationships aren't built through transactions—they're built through trust, credibility, and a genuine desire to help people solve important problems.

We're looking for a Sales Executive who understands that philosophy and already has a strong reputation among employee benefits brokers and consultants. You know your market, you know your brokers, and—most importantly—they know they can count on you.

You don't view selling as convincing someone to buy. You view it as understanding a problem, bringing the right people together, and helping create a better outcome.

In this role, you'll have the autonomy to own your territory and the opportunity to turn relationships into meaningful growth. You'll help brokers solve challenges for their employer clients, uncover opportunities where Aphora Health can make a difference, and guide prospects through the journey from first conversation to successful implementation.

If you're the kind of person who earns business because people trust your judgment, value your perspective, and enjoy working with you, this could be a great fit.

What You'll Do:

  1. Be a trusted resource for brokers. Build genuine, long-term relationships with employee benefits brokers, consultants, and industry influencers. Become the person they call when they need a thoughtful answer or a better solution.
  2. Help brokers win. Bring practical pharmacy benefits expertise and creative solutions that help brokers solve meaningful problems for their employer clients—and make them look good in the process.
  3. Turn relationships into opportunities. Generate new business primarily through broker referrals, networking, reputation, and the relationships you've built over time.
  4. Own your territory. Identify opportunities within your broker network, develop relationships with self-insured employers, and take responsibility for moving opportunities forward.
  5. Be the trusted voice in the room. Lead conversations with brokers, consultants, employers, and senior benefit decision-makers with confidence, curiosity, and credibility.
  6. Tell a compelling story. Present Aphora Health's value in a way that connects with executives and clearly demonstrates the financial and business impact.
  7. Collaborate, don't compete internally. Partner closely with Inside Sales to coordinate outreach, nurture relationships, and move qualified opportunities forward.
  8. Own the journey. Manage the sales process from identifying an opportunity through contracting and implementation, staying engaged along the way.
  9. Stay connected after the sale. Help support successful employer launches and broker engagement so the relationships you've worked hard to build continue to thrive.
  10. Deliver results. Maintain a healthy pipeline, achieve or exceed revenue goals, and consistently turn strong relationships into sustainable growth.
  11. Represent Aphora Health. Build our reputation throughout the Southeast at industry conferences, broker events, and employer meetings.

What Makes You Successful Here:

You don't have to be the loudest person in the room. You need to be the person people trust when the stakes are high.

You likely bring:

  1. A track record of success selling within employee benefits, healthcare, pharmacy, insurance, or the self-funded employer market
  2. An established network of employee benefits brokers, consultants, and/or employer decision-makers
  3. A history of building relationships that lead to repeat business, introductions, and referrals
  4. Experience with PBMs, specialty pharmacy, healthcare navigation, employee benefits, or employer-sponsored healthcare solutions
  5. Strong relationships with regional or national employee benefits brokerages
  6. Experience working with self-insured employers, from mid-market organizations through enterprise accounts
  7. Familiarity with benefits consultants, TPAs, PBMs, captives, and employer health plans
  8. The ability to communicate complex ideas simply and persuasively with executive audiences
  9. Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  10. The self-direction and discipline to own a territory without needing someone looking over your shoulder
  11. A willingness to travel approximately 35% throughout your region
